Workshop "The Role and Clinical Application of Computed Tomography (CT) and Cerebral Magnetic Resonance (MRI)"

In order to update in-depth knowledge on the clinical application of computed tomography and cranial magnetic resonance for treating doctors, on the afternoon of January 19, 2024, Bac Giang Provincial General Hospital cooperated with Japan Vietnam Medical Investment And Development JSC Company and Fujifilm Vietnam to organize a workshop "The role and clinical application of computed tomography (CT) and cranial magnetic resonance (MRI)" for more than 80 doctors from medical facilities in Bac Giang province.

Attending the workshop were Dr. Nguyen Van Binh - Deputy Director of Provincial Department of Health; Mr. Pham Thanh Nam - General Director of Japan Vietnam Medical Investment And Development JSC Company; Ms. Do Thi Ngoc Hoa - Deputy General Director of Japan Vietnam Medical Investment And Development JSC Company; Dr. Le Duc Thanh - Director of Fujifilm Vietnam Trade Union; Mr. Nguyen The Hiep - Business Manager of Northern Fujifilm Vietnam. On the side of Bac Giang General Hospital, there are doctors: Dr. Hoang Chi Thanh - Deputy Director of the Hospital, Dr. Hoang Truong Giang - Deputy Director of the Hospital and heads of departments, rooms and centers. Lecturer at the Workshop was Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Anh Tuan - Deputy Director of Dien Quang Center, Bach Mai Hospital.

Speaking at the opening, Dr. Nguyen Van Binh - Deputy Director of provincial Department of Health affirmed:" CT and MRI scans are two modern techniques that allow the diagnosis of many complex diseases and lesions in the body. Therefore, in addition to investing in MRI and CT equipment, it is necessary to improve the level and skills of scanning and updating knowledge in diagnosis and treatment for the medical team. Depending on the condition, the doctor will prescribe the most appropriate and safe imaging method for the patient's condition." The leaders of the Department of Health were also very happy when the workshop was held and hoped that after the workshop, medical staff would have more useful knowledge to apply in clinical; helping many patients detect diseases early with modern techniques.

The workshop was held as a great opportunity to help doctors and nurses in the province update their in-depth knowledge, help quickly diagnose and accurately detect abnormalities in the brain through two methods of CT and MRI. From there, it leads to appropriate and effective treatment for patients as well as improving capacity in diagnosis and treatment for junior doctors.
