On 8th March, at the hall of Hoan My Van Phuc 2 General Hospital, the workshop: Introduction of features and clinical application of 32-slice CT system was organized by JVC and Hoan My Van Phuc 2 General Hospital, with the participation of more than 60 guests.

Attending the meeting, regarding the Board of Directors of the hospital, there were:

• Hospital Director - Mr. Pham Tuan Thanh
• Professional Deputy Director  - Ms. Tran Thi Tuyet Lan
• Head Doctor of Diagnostic Imaging Department - Mr. Pham Ngoc Thai
• Clinical and subclinical doctors; doctors, nurses and technicians of the departments in the hospital.

At the meeting, Mr. Vu Trong Hieu – Manager of CT – MRI and Mr. Nguyen Van Anh – Specialist of Clinical application, had a very practical and open discussion about the outstanding features of 32-slice CT system Supria – Hitachi, clinical applications of the system to: musculoskeletal system, spine, skull, facial jaw, thoracic, abdominal cavity, and vascular system.

The outstanding features of 32-slice CT system Supria are:

Open and compact design: The machine compartment with 75-centimeter with is the widest design available today, creating comfort for patients, especially those with fear of enclosed spaces. However, the whole system is compact in size and saves space.

Tilt +/- 30: Design with the tilt of device up to 30 degrees, this is the gantry tilt needed to reduce radiation exposure to the eyes and to reduce noise caused by teeth.

Low dose and superior image quality: The system uses automatic beam dose control technology Intelli EC combined with Intelli IP Quick, allowing up to 83% reduction in beam dose while ensuring outstanding image quality.

User-friendliness: For the patient, the open design reduces anxiety in radiography, takes fast time, does not require too strict. With technicians, the control screen interface is easy to understand, easy to use, helping technicians to quickly apprehend the operation of the machine.

We hope that the new system going into operation will contribute to improving the quality of medical examination and treatment services, improving the professional skills of the hospital staff, especially helping people to access modern, high-tech medical services in their local.
