Following the activities under the Project on Prevention of Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease and Asthma, on October 3-4, 2022, the doctors of the Respiratory Center - Bach Mai Hospital, in collaboration with Viet Nhat Medical Development and Investment Joint Stock Company, organized a training course on non-invasive ventilation in the treatment of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) for doctors and hospital staff in the central region and southern region.

The class was participated by doctors from the Respiratory Center - Bach Mai Hospital, ventilator specialists from Viet Nhat Medical Development and Investment Joint Stock Company, and 24 doctors from different medical institutions. Medical units and hospitals in the South include the General Hospital of Long An Province, General Hospital of Vinh Long Province, Hue Central General Hospital, Vinmec Nha Trang International Hospital…

This is the second non-invasive ventilatory training and training course in a series of 3 classes under the Project on Prevention of Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease and Asthma, organized by Bach Mai Hospital. The first class was held on September 22nd in Hanoi.

After the theoretical part, the doctors were directly practicing on the Nihon Kohden NKV-330 dedicated non-invasive ventilator, originating from Japan. This modern machine has outstanding features such as an automatic breathing trigger on demand, large air leak compensation, patient safety with a HEPA air filter, and apnea prevention.

“The lectures on the NKV-330 ventilator and the practical part directly on the machine are comprehensible, close to the reality of the treatment of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and bronchial asthma for patients in hospitals” – Dr. Doctor Phan Dinh Thuy Tien of Vinmec Nha Trang International General Hospital commented on the course.

According to the plan, the next training class and training will be held on October 20-21, 2022 at Bach Mai Hospital, Hanoi.
