Updated 07/29/2019 04:23

“Medical Device in the Industry 4.0 and AI Application in Healthcare” is the theme of the 15th Annual National Conference held by the Vietnam Medical Device Association on July 26 & 27, 2019 at Da Nang. During the theme Conference, JVC gained attention with the report on the new solution of "Sakura Supply Management System (SSMS)".

Representative of Sakura Seiki - Supplier of Infection Control Device - visited JVC's booth

Attending the Conference was Deputy Minister of Health Nguyen Truong Son, along with nearly 400 delegates who were leaders of Departments of Health, directors of hospitals, medical device technicians, representatives of relevant associations in healthcare and medical industry. This Conference is a good opportunity for doctors, managers, etc. to update the most advanced scientific and technological information on new useful products and solutions, such as AI overview in healthcare, the role of technology in minimally invasive open heart surgery, job management software at medical device supply departments... In particular, JVC attracted great attention at the Conference with a report on “Sakura Supply Management System (SSMS)” solution.

Mr. Chang Hun Kim - Representative of Sakura Seiki - gave a speech at the Conference

Currently, most hospitals in Vietnam are still maintaining the traditional, manual and heavy-paperwork approach for management of medical device in general and infection control equipment in particular. This remains a burden in management , resulting in time and resource consuming, subjective errors, loss of medical supplies, etc. Therefore, SSMS solution introduced by JVC and Sakura Seiki at the Conference received great attention from participants.

Specifically, the system helps monitor and manage post-washed and sterilized devices by using 2D barcode that is labeled or engraved directly on the devices. Through this barcode, hospitals can easily manage information related to devices, such as name of device, classification, departments used, number of times and periods of reprocessing, expiry date, etc. This helps hospitals scientifically manage expired devices, optimize turnaround time, identify device location and departments used... Right after the speech, many participants expressed their interest and wanted to further understand the operation of the system, as well as the suitability to their context.

Many participants visited JVC booth to learn more about the solution introduced by JVC
