On June 15 and 16, 2019, the 9th International Conference on Regional Anesthetics (RA-Asia) was successfully organized at the Pullman Hotel, Hanoi. As the exclusive distributor of Konica Minolta in Vietnam, JVC brought the new generation ultrasound machine Sonimage HS1 to the Conference and received great attention from attending experts.

Established in 2011, RA-Asia aims to spread knowledge and update regional anesthetic techniques to regional anesthetists. The annual conference takes place in different countries. This year is the first time Vietnam hosted this important event. The event offered in-depth scientific reports and great opportunity to enlighten theory through professional practice at hands-on counters, under thorough guidance from leading experts.

The Conference was also an opportunity for JVC and Konica Minolta to introduce the latest generation ultrasound Sonimage HS1 to experts and various players. This machine has been used by experts in 3 recent workshops, including: 

Workshop on facial anesthesia blocks facilitated by Prof. Petchara Sudarathiti, Faculty of Pharmacy, Mahidol University; Ramathibodi Hospital (Thailand)

Workshop on serratus anterior muscle anesthesia facilitated by Prof. Shinichi Sakura, Director of Surgery Department, Shimane University Hospital; Department of Anesthesiology, Shimane University School of Medicine (Japan)

Workshop on inguinal pelvic nerve, vagus nerve, femoral and humoral nerves facilitated by Dr. Ta Ngan Giang, Anesthesiologist - Hanoi Medical University Hospital, and Lecturer in Anesthesiology & Intensive Care, Hanoi Medical University

Sonimage HS1 aims to support physicians in special departments such as anesthesia and intensive care, orthopedic trauma, musculoskeletal, etc. in case quick diagnosis is required to help physician perform accurate invasive manipulation. With such advantages as the outstanding image quality, minimal and easy-to-remember keyboard design, Sonimage combines both keyboard and touch screen operations to simplify application and improve diagnostic quality. 

With these outstanding features, Konica's new generation ultrasound machine received great attention and appreciation of the attending professors and physicians.

Sonimage HS1 has been distributed by JVC in Vietnam market since April, 2019.
