On September 9, 2022, "training program: Prevention of SARS-CoV-2 infection in the new situation and prevention of monkeypox infection" organized by the Vietnam Chief Nursing Club, with the participation of The companionship of Japan Vietnam Medical Investment And Development Joint Stock Company (JVC) took place at Quang Do Hotel, Hanoi.
At the training program, participants heard presentations on the control and prevention of SARS-CoV-2 infection in the new situation, the prevention of monkeypox infection, the role of the nurse's care in epidemic prevention, patient care instructions, and some infection prevention measures during patient care.
The SARS-CoV-2 virus that causes the COVID-19 epidemic is constantly evolving and is difficult to determine the dangerous nature of the variants and the severity and mortality. While the monkeypox epidemic has the potential to spread at any time because tourism and activities are returned to normal for economic development. Therefore, raising awareness and skills on the control and prevention of SARS-CoV-2 infection and monkeypox is essential for each working medical staff, to achieve the highest efficiency in disease prevention, especially in hospital environments with many possible risks.
Notably, in the training program, there was also the participation of Japan Vietnam Medical Investment And Development Joint Stock Company (JVC) representative, with an introduction to medical hygiene, control, and infection prevention such as hand sanitizer solution, PE apron, medical gloves, to cleaning products for medical equipment, surface cleaning of Saraya brand, Japan.
At the end of the training session, all trainees were updated and supplemented with knowledge and skills on controlling and preventing the infection of SARS-CoV-2 and Monkey Smallpox, continuing to improve their roles, and responsibilities, and becoming elite warriors in the frontline against the epidemic. In general, The Chief Nursing Club and the medical industry is determined to create a safe environment for patients and medical staff, contributing to the betterment of the community and societal health.
