To celebrate International Women's Day (8/3) as well as to express our sincere gratitude, JVC has organized the FREE "Breast Cancer Screening" Program for all women in some North units utilizing Breast ultrasound and Mammogram from 05/03 to 31/03.

JVC has organized this program in nearly one month with the goal of early cancer detection, even just one case, can be considered a great success. An early detected abnormal case will well assist in intensive examination to improve treatment efficiency and therefore save one’s life. In terms of family aspect, early detection will help reduce the risk of losing relatives, prolong bonding time, minimize financial loss and preserve the spiritual life of the whole family.

As of 14/03, we have examined 652 cases, discovered 98 abnormal ones by breast ultrasound and 47 abnormal cases by X-ray. Immediately after the screening results, patients with unusual signs have been reported about the current situation, consulted specific advice and guidance on the next in-depth inspection procedure.

With the above figures, it can be seen that the actual results recorded are very alarming. Over the past 30 years, the number of people infected and died by cancer in Vietnam has tripled. Breast cancer is the leading one causing death in women. Screening and early detection are key to effective treatment and living prognosis improvement. However, more than 70% of cancer patients in Vietnam have found the disease in a late stage, while cancer can be diagnosed early and cured.
