Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) is a method that uses strong magnetic fields, radio waves and computers to sketch detailed images of the inside of the human body. From the results of the MRI scan, the doctor can make a diagnosis about the patient's health status or response to the treatment regimen. Unlike X-rays and computed tomography (CT) scans, MRIs do not use the harmful ionizing radiation of X-rays.

MRI is often indicated on different parts of the body such as brain, spine, abdomen, pelvis, musculoskeletal, etc., and is especially useful in imaging soft tissues and nervous system. It allows detecting any abnormalities at the earliest stage.
